Focus Extra Equipment

2014 Ford Focus gains extra equipment, prices unchanged

The Ford Focus has been upgraded with new features and enhanced equipment levels, with no change to prices across the range.

Ford has added Emergency Assistance – previously available only in the ST hot-hatch – throughout the line-up. A function of the car’s Sync infotainment system, Emergency Assistance uses the driver’s paired phone to deliver a voice message to 000 operators alerting them if the vehicle has been involved in a serious accident.

Rear parking sensors are now also standard across the Focus range after being added to the entry-level Ambiente.

The second-tier Focus Trend gains dual-zone climate control and all the features of the Convenience Pack (auto headlights and wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and ‘follow-me-home’ lighting), which was previously a $300 option.

The Sport trim gains keyless entry and push-button start, while the flagship Titanium adds an electric sunroof.

The standard fitment of the sunroof to the Titanium sees the price of the Sports Executive Pack (includes adaptive cruise control, active city stop and bi-xenon headlamps) fall from $2300 to $1200.
